Another Rainy Day....

Around this time of the year, we have the rainy season called "Tsuyu" in Japan, which usually lasts for about one month from early June.

Tsuyu in Chinese characters is 梅雨.
梅 = Japanese apricot
雨 = rain

Why apricot rain?
According to Wikipedia....

There are several theories about the origin of 梅雨, and one of them is that the apricot reaches peak ripeness during this rainy season.

I see, that's true.
I usually make my Plum Sake around this time!

We are expecting more rainy days this week....
When this rainy season ends later this month, we will have the hot summer!

Reserving iPhone 3G S

My boss and I visited a SoftBank shop to reserve new iPhone yesterday.
SoftBank is an exclusive authorized dealer of iPhone in Japan, and iPhone 3G S will be at stores on June 26th.
My boss who currently owns an iPhone 3G in white reserved a black one this time with no problem.
And, I am using a black one and hoping to get a white one for the new.
However, as it has been no more than six months since I started using my iPhone, I could not reserve it. The shop staff explained to us that the restriction should be noted on the contract. Both of us never read it, and did not know about it until the moment.

Too bad..

We need to have several iPhone whenever it comes out in order to make perfect-fit cases and accessories for it.
In addition, because there are so many competitors out there releasing new products on the same day or within days of iPhone release date, we MUST get it ASAP.
And we know that users want to get a new case to protect their brand-new iPhone on the day of their purchase.
In our company, my big boss is also getting a new one at least, so it should not be a big problem. But it sure made me feel a little disappointed..

People in the US will get to see it tomorrow in Japan-time.
I am jealous! I can not wait to see it!!
